Cronulla have finally tabled an official offer to Willie Mason but the Sydney Roosters remain favourites to sign the NRL's most controversial and sought-after figure.
Cronulla boss Tony Zappia said the Sharks had offered Mason a two-year deal after meeting with the disgruntled Bulldog's manager.

Disgruntled former Bulldogs star Willie Mason has confirmed he has signed a three-year deal to join the Sydney Roosters.
The Bulldogs cleared the way for the change in clubs by formally agreeing to a release from the final two years of Mason's contract earlier today.
