Rising star signs for Exiles

Jamie Lennard, who has finished at the top of the point-scoring league in National Division One this season, has signed for London Irish and will join the club in July.

The 23 year-old fullback and flyhalf has signed a two-year contract that will keep him with the Exiles until the end of the 2010/11 season.

Jamie joins from Doncaster Knights for whom he has scored 298 points (five tries, 57 conversions, 46 penalties and seven drop goals) this season. Previously, he played for Rotherham and Worcester. He has represented England at Students and Under-21 levels.

Halfback Ben Lucas named at five-eighth for injury ravaged Reds

Halfback Ben Lucas will guide Queensland Reds' fortunes against the Crusaders from five-eighth after backline general Berrick Barnes was among eight players ruled out.

Lucas slots into the playmaking position in one of the least experienced Reds teams ever selected while Quade Cooper moves back to fullback after vice-captain Barnes failed a fitness test at Ballymore on his injured groin.

Hooker Sean Hardman is the new captain as skipper James Horwill (foot) was also scratched along with fullback Mark McLinden (knee), flanker Tasi Luafutu (broken hand) and backline strike weapon Digby Ioane.
