A SWEETLY struck Ceiron Thomas drop goal deep into injury time felled the English champions on their home patch. The 24-year-old outside-half landed his kick after 43 minutes of the second half at Adams Park.

Aussie No 8 David Lyons, fly-half Stephen Jones and prop Iestyn Thomas were influential throughout and there was much powerful tackling from the visitors all night.

Gollings in line to score Reds contract

English Sevens maestro Ben Gollings could be in line to clinch one of the Queensland Reds coveted new overseas spots for the next Super 14 season.

The record-breaking fly-half was the first to accumulate 1,500 career points in IRB Sevens and remains the competition's leading point-scorer.

He was a late inclusion in the Reds squad for their development tour of Ireland and France which coach Phil Mooney said will double as his audition.
