Serena Brooke

Serena Brooke is one of the most popular and renowned surfers in the world of professional surfing.

As a rookie in 1995, Serena exploded onto the world surfing stage with her stunning good looks and power driven surfing style. The following year Serena shook the foundations of professional surfing with victory in the prestigious Rip Curl Pro at Hossegor, France. The scene was being set for the career emergence of one of the most exciting surfers in professional surfing history.

Serena established herself over the next decade as one of the world elite surfers. She won world tour events in France, Japan, South Africa and the United States. It was her surfing in the massive waves of Hawaii though that may felt established Serena as one of the most dynamic and radical surfers of this generation.

During this time, Serena was twice runner up in the World Title and she maintained her ranking in the top ten female surfers over a twelve year period. After an injury interrupted 2007, she is back on the world stage with a vengeance and is currently ranked in the Top 10.

Serena has and continues to pursue her free surfing adventures and projects for sponsors during her career with enormous passion. Constantly pushing the parameters of what can be achieved, Serena has surfed some of the most iconic and challenging surf spots on the planet. This journey to surf and encounter the best waves that she can find has exposed her to the social injustices of life. Through her experiences, the Serena Brooke Fund was established in 2001 and the ‘Serena Brooke Charity Surf Days’ have become the vehicle for helping the cause that Serena is most passionate about - underprivileged children. In recent times, Serena has expanded her commitments in this area of need and has become an ambassador for the charitable organisation Plan.

In 2009, the life of Serena Brooke is full and challenging as she pursues her surfing with renewed energy and vigor and maintains her role as an advocate for underprivileged children.
